Myeolchi Bokkeum

Recipe:

200g dried baby anchovies
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp rice syrup / corn syrup
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp water
1 clove garlic
1/3 cup walnuts, almonds, peanuts etc.

Place anchovies in a sieve. Shake to get rid of dust.
In a small bowl combine brown sugar, syrup and soy sauce. Set aside.
Add 2 tbsp of oil to a small saucepan. Add your minced garlic, and nuts sauté until fragrant.
Add your anchovies and toast over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Pour in your sauce and stir to coat the anchovies, turn off the heat, allow it to thicken.

These will last a month in your fridge!
