Gamja Jorim
Recipe:
1/2 lb baby potatoes, cut
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp rice syrup/ honey / corn syrup
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1 tsp sesame seeds
In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tbsp of oil. Fry your potatoes for 3-4 minutes until golden. Reduce heat to low. Add 1/4 cup water, cover with lid and let them steam for 20 minutes.
Remove lid and add syrup, soy and garlic. Stir until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Top with sesame seeds.
Best eaten within a day. If stored in fridge the sauce will melt. Reheat in fry pan to bring texture back to life.
